What is Personal Image?
Personal Image is about managing the way we ‘look’, ‘walk’ and ‘talk’. It’s about our personal grooming, dress sense, poise and the way we communicate with others (verbal and non-verbal, body language).
By taking care of our personal image, it can improve our general wellbeing as it helps us look younger and feel better about ourselves. Further, it also helps boost our personal confidence and self-esteem.
In order for us to continue to look and feel good about ourselves, let’s try to manage the following six aspects of wellness.

Spiritual Wellness
Try to find meaning, value and our place in the world. Spiritual wellness does not mean being religious – it is about developing a personal value system that guides our decisions and helps us accept and overcome obstacles in life.
Physical Health
We need to maintain physical fitness with any range of activities that we enjoy. When we grow older, we may be weaker or frail – but these should not prevent us from exercising and maintaining our fitness level.
Emotional Wellness
Developing a positive and resilient mindset helps us overcome challenges. We need to express our emotions and not bottle up in our heart and mind. Apart from that, we need to start learning to accept and manage adversity; to count our blessings and remind ourselves that we have more than others in the world today.
Intellectual Growth
Learn new things and indulge in exciting personal interests – build and expand our trove of knowledge and skills through mentally stimulating activities.
Social Circle
Form and maintain healthy, harmonious and positive relationships with family, friends and the community.
Vocational Skills
We can achieve personal fulfilment and actualisation by doing something meaningful with our talents, skills, experience or interests. Remember that ‘work’ doesn’t only mean having a job, but doing something worthwhile like volunteering or helping others.
